Vyrl Pember of Church Financial Development led us through our Soaring With Christ stewardship campaign in the first half of 1999. We considered three different organizations and we settled on Vyrl as the best fit for our church.

We are a church of 700+ adults that attend on Sunday mornings and we meet in a very inadequate facility. For many years the need for a relocation project has been obvious. We knew we did not have the ability to run a stewardship campaign on our own and that we would need experience and wisdom to have a successful campaign.

We chose Vyrl and CFD for several reasons. First was the man himself Vyrl is energetic, outgoing, very friendly and engaging. His people skills and faith-filled optimism attracted us to him.

Secondly, was his passionate heart for helping churches become all that God wants them to be. Vyrl certainly has a calling from God for stewardship ministry. His knowledge of the biblical teaching on stewardship is extensive and he communicates those biblical principles in compelling ways.

We were also impressed by his organizational skills and the detailed process he has developed to run a successful and fruitful campaign. The more Vyrl explained the components of a successful campaign, the more we knew we could not have run such a campaign on our own. But we also discovered that Vyrl is highly flexible and able to tailor his program to the needs of individual congregations.

When the campaign was completed, we had raised two times our annual budget in pledges to be turned in over a three year period. What made this even more striking is that our congregation is in a very economically hurting part of central New York.

We are excited about our future and grateful for Vyrl's partnership with us as we move in to that future.
